Hello, Tumblroos! I would really appreciate if you would fill out this short form.
This is to collect a list of non-binary-gendered (i.e., not male/female) 3rd person singular (i.e., “he”/”she”/”it”) pronouns that are currently circulating in the English language. I am collecting this data to examine these pronomial systems and compare them to the existing systems in English, and consider how possible it is for them to be incorporated into everyday language from a psycholinguistic and sociolinguistic perspective (including issues that are presently making it difficult for this to be done). In the second question, you will be asked to list any non-English non-binary pronouns you’re aware of. These will also be considered in the data. This form is not, however, asking for your personal opinions about these systems or the movements behind them, so please just list the pronouns. Please read the instructions carefully!
If you reblog this (which would be helpful), please include the tag “RMP pronoun study”.
